Where to Elope in Moab

Moab Elopement Adventure | Halie West Photography

The Adventure in Moab

Loni + Byron chose to celebrate their love in Moab by hiking to the Corona Arch. This adventure gave the couple time to spend with one another before saying their vows. Moab is such a beautiful location to celebrate your love. The two moved from the East Coast for school and have really enjoyed getting to explore Utah. We talked a lot about past adventures and misadventures like the time they nearly missed their plane home after a vacation!

Luckily, our hike to the Corona Arch went smoothly. We spent a lot of time just taking in the views, watching the sun sink behind the horizon, and dancing as the sky turned deep blue. I find it so important to enjoy the adventure you are having with the one you love most. Celebrating your love is never about the pictures, even if you bring a photographer along. It’s about the two of you, the stories you have to tell, the bond between you, and the adventures that your future holds.

As the air began to chill we decided to head back to the trail head. With the help of GPS and headlamps, we were able to make our way back to the parking lot in the dark. Arriving back at your car after the sun has set is always a sign of a good adventure!

Where to Elope in Moab

These two chose an epic elopement location in Moab to celebrate their love. Moab offers so many unique locations that you may want to elope in. I hope that this list inspires you

Corona Arch

The Corona and Bowtie Arches are such unique sculptures from nature. The scenic hike is perfect for any adventurer. Saying your vows under this impressive arch will leave you with a memorable wedding day.

Canyonlands National Park

Canyonlands offers sweeping canyon views, glowing sunrises, and wonderful sunsets. Every scenic viewpoint is unique in it;s own way. Mesa Arch at sunrise is definitely  bucket list worthy destination, and would be a rad place to celebrate your love.

Castle Valley

Desert towers such as Castleton Tower are epic for climbing up or hiking around. You could say your vows from the top of the tower with an impressive view of Moab, or vow your love while the tower stands witness.

Arches National Park

Arches is home to more than 200 arches, the most famous of which is Delicate Arch. You could say your vows under this arch as the sun rises. If that’s not magic then I don’t know what is.

Dead Horse State Park

Much like Canyonlands, Dead Horse State Park offers sweeping views of the canyons and the La Sal Mountains. This spot has been one of my favorite places to watch the sunset and may be your choice of location to vow your love.

A Slot Canyon

Moab is full of unique slot canyons to explore if you know how to find them! Slot canyon are a beautiful reminder of how water and wind can shape the earth. They can also offer fun adventures such as canyoneering and can keep you cool on a warmer day.
