Provo Canyon Vow Renewal | Provo, Utah

Mckay + Kandice chose to celebrate their first anniversary by running around in the rain in Provo Canyon. The two have had a big year from getting married to welcoming a little baby among the chaos of the coronavirus. Listening to Kandice’s pregnancy journey and what it was like to be in the hospital during this time was insightful to what is going on in the world today. Mckay was always right there with her, mask on, his hand in hers, ready to welcome their little baby into their family.

The day of their vow renewal was set for rain, but they decided to adventure on and brave the storm. We had some moments of calm before the raining really began. We took shelter among some trees and took in the sounds of the droplets hitting the leaves. Kandice said she was never a huge fan of the rain, but she was dancing among the droplets and embraced the cold with a smile.

Adventure is best when it is met with a can do attitude. Being open minded and willing to experience what ever Mother Nature creates for always leads to good things. In this case it led to smiling faces and spinning around in the rain without a care in the world. I love getting lost in the moment with my couples!
