Intimate Wedding in Park City
Cass and Austin chose to get married among their closest family members at Church of Dirt in Park City, Utah. Their intimate wedding was simple and true to themselves. Surrounded by mountains and the folks they love most. It doesn’t get much better than being surrounded by who and what you love.
Ceremony in the Mountains
Together, Cass’s Dad and Son walked her down the aisle. Austin couldn’t stop smiling as he stared at his beautiful bride. We all couldn’t take our eyes off of her and her glow. The soothing cello music flowed around us until Austin’s cousin put down his bow and Dave began the ceremony.
By the time Cass + Austin had finished saying their vows, there wasn’t a dry eye left at this ceremony. I was constantly wiping my eyes and trying to hold back tears so I could focus on telling their story. And boy, was it difficult to not get all teared up. Cass + Austin’s vows were true to them, their love, their struggles, and their joys. They laughed and cried, and we laughed and cried with them. They brought their little family together and made it stronger, bound by love. So, so much love. I’m grateful to be able to share in these intimate moments and honored to capture them.
I passed off my dad’s old film camera to Cass’s son so that he could help me capture the day. He pointed the lens to the landscape before capturing the joy between his Mom and Austin. He also captured my favorite photos of Austin being silly. Being able to share these film moments feels nostalgic. Imagine flipping through your wedding album and be reminded of the photos from your our childhood or from your parents wedding. That’s what film brings, memories in a new form.
